Silver Kankavati - Pan Shaped Kolhapuri

Kankavati is widely used during marriage ceremonies to store rice and red powder (sindoor) used to apply tilak on forehead. It is also used to welcome guests on various occasions and during religious ceremonies to store flowers, turmeric powder and lamps. The kankavati is characterized by Kolhapuri design and has three legs to stand on. It has a thin handle and is leaf shaped. It has 85% silver content in it.  It has a width of around 4.5 inches and weighs around 45 grams.
